Day 1: Arrival in Kigali, Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park

Your day 1 of Rwanda Primate safaris starts with a morning airport pick up at Kigali International Airport. Our driver shall then begin the trip through the city, with an eminent stop at any of the organized restaurants in Kigali.

After your lunch break, the 180 kilometers transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park resumes, as you encounter the beautiful hills of Rwanda along this short long drive.

By the time it clocks in to the late afternoon hours of the day, the journey will have reached its apex. Checking in at the hotels inside and around Nyungwe Forest National Park follows.

After trekking chimpanzees, fill up with a well prepared Rwandan or any international delicacies at the Hotel or at any restaurants available in and around Nyungwe Forest National Park.

Checking out at the hotel follows after your lunch, with the transfer to Gishwati Mukura National Park coming up shortly. The driver covers you through this 155 Kilometer stretch in about 2 and a half hours.

Day 3: Golden monkey trekking, transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Day 3 of your Rwanda Primate safaris starts with an in suit breakfast, served as you would like. The driver then embarks on your transfer to Gishwati Mukura National Park headquarters for your early morning golden monkey trekking adventure.

Golden monkey trekking in Gishwati Mukura is done for about 4 hours. This guided activity gives you an exceptional close view of these unique monkeys. After trekking, enjoy a sumptuous lunch of Rwanda’s finest local cuisine.

When lunch is done, the driver shall take you back for check out. The transfer to Volcanoes National Park commences shortly afterwards. The journey to Volcanoes stretches to about 290 kilometers, covered in approximately 5 hours.
